At Pitisuksa we recognize and respect that every child is unique. Our learning approach is tailored to each individual child and their specific needs. Every child in our school manages their own learning goals, interests, and achievements. Children in our school come from a variety of cultural and global backgrounds, which contributes to the rich learning environment. Our mission is to nurture the learning curiosity inherent in all children and to help our students develop into thoughtful, independent, and caring global citizens.
The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. Dr. Montessori’s Method has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world.
It is a view of the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. It is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child.
Pitisuksa School is divided into five programs:
Toddler (2 - 3 years)
Kindergarten (3 - 6 years)
Lower Elementary (6 - 9 years)
Upper Elementary (9 - 12 years)
Middle School (12 - 15 years)
High School (15 - 18 years)
Pitisuksa is an English program school that has embraced both the Montessori curriculum and the Thai National Curriculum. Classes from kindergarten through middle school are based on three-year age groupings. Younger students observe and learn from older students while the older students act not only as a role model but also develop nurturing behavior and leadership qualities. A balance of individual instruction, small group activities, and unstructured time encourages each child to work on selected tasks. This approach develops competence and a love for learning in all four programs.
We believe in the value and contribution of every person and we admit students regardless of race, gender, nationality or ethnic origin. We allow access to all rights, privileges, programs and activities offered at the school. The admission process brings families and school staff into dialogues and into each other’s lives – all centered around the child.
Parents of potential students interested in enrollment for their children are advised to contact Pitisuksa and meet with the School Principal. An informal interview with prospective students will also be arranged with our teachers. To start the application process, please follow the steps below.
Pitisuksa is not just a school. We're a community of families looking to build relationships and celebrate important events together. During the year we often have parties for Loy Krathong, Fathers day, Mothers day, Makha Bucha, and many more. When you join Pitisuksa, you're part of the family! We always try to capture pictures of our events and upload them on our website.
Here is a look at some of our favorite pictures from our most recent school events.
